A week when I was hoping to finish the ground shifting work in front of the house. However, it wan't certain if help was going to arrive on time or at all. So I needed to keep my plans flexible and re-schedule some work. To start with, this involved repair work on an important wall inside. First, I had to remove whole sections of stones and mortar. Next I needed to rebuild parts with new and better stones. With the outdoor work still not able to start I repaired further sections of the wall. When help and an excavator machine did eventually arrive the work was fast and impressive. The huge pile of stones in front of the house was shifed to better areas. Then earth and stones in other parts were moved to create the target levels for this phase. There were still some unexpected occurences during the day, but the work got done. In the middle of the week there was also a brief, but important visit off site.
