Tuva Republic is a remote region in southern Siberia in Russia, known for its strong indigenous culture, nomadic traditions, and unique practices like throat singing. However, this region is also famous for murders, stabbings, and brutal beatings. I was warned not to go to this republic, especially on my own. Well... l did go after all, so let's head to a remote Siberia and see what the most criminal Russian city looks like, get to know Tuvans and ask them about their life in the republic, meet shamans, and take part in the Tuvan New Year Celebration!
